Mysterium

Mysterium is asymmetric clue-giving under constraint. The ghost must sequence vision cards so psychics build consistent narratives without explicit links.

Quick winning principles

  • Ghost: group vision cards by suspect/location/weapon before dealing.
  • Psychics: cluster clues by color and symbol, not by card order.
  • Never guess until you have 2+ clues pointing to same card.
  • Final vision: ghost gives strongest card first, weakest last.

Ideal strategy

  1. 1

Ghost sequencing: deal location clues before suspect clues—locations have fewer candidates and anchor deduction.

  2. 2

Vision card economy: save high-entropy cards (multi-symbol) for ambiguous suspects; single-symbol cards for unique locations.

  3. 3

Psychic clustering: when 3+ players share a clue symbol, that symbol is likely the correct attribute—coordinate guesses.

  4. 4

Clover token timing: use on the guess you're 80% confident on, not 50%—wasted clovers lose games.

  5. 5

Final vision ordering: ghost ranks cards 1-3 by match strength; psychics vote on order, not individual cards.
