Quick winning principles
- Bank at 300-400 when you have a lead.
- Hot dice (all six score) — keep rolling unless match point.
- Three 1s is 1000 — always bank after unless far behind.
- Never Farkle on first roll with a single 5 — bank 50 and pass.
Ideal strategy
- 1
Banking threshold: 300 points on a turn is standard safe exit. At 400+ with lead, bank — opponent needs your Farkle to catch up.
- 2
Hot dice extension: when all six dice score, you roll again with six fresh dice. This is where 2000+ turn potential lives — push when behind.
- 3
Risk scaling: behind by 1000+, roll with 2 dice left at 250 on turn. Ahead by 500, bank at 300 with 3 dice remaining.
- 4
Scoring combos: three 1s (1000) > three 2s (200). Keep 1s and 5s across rolls — they're the only singles that score.
- 5
Opening roll strategy: if first roll scores nothing, turn ends — some house rules allow 3 Farkle losses. Know your variant.
- 6
Endgame: at 9500+ (500 to win), bank at 200. One Farkle from victory is the classic mistake.
