  • Call phases you can staff with dice — winning phase matters.
  • Develop worlds early for permanent dice discounts.
  • Settle consumes dice but scores points — time it with produce.
  • Purple dice (wild) are premium — save for critical phase calls.

Ideal strategy

    Phase selection: you only execute phases you call or others call. Put dice on phases you want AND can win — empty calls waste dice.

    Develop vs settle: develop adds permanent worlds (more dice slots); settle scores immediate points. Engine builders develop first; rush strategies settle.

  3. 3

    Explore for credit and tiles: explore when you need new world tiles or credit for expensive developments. Don't explore when tableau is full.

    Consume-produce cycles: produce fills goods; consume trades goods for cards and points. A tableau with 3+ consume powers is an engine.

    Dice cup management: returned dice go to cup. Worlds that keep dice off phases (permanent assignment) reduce flexibility — balance.

    Shipping and bonuses: shipping goods scores points. Combine with trade world powers for endgame point explosions.
