Quick winning principles
- Never waste Defuse early unless you have a backup.
- Nope opponent's See the Future — information is power.
- Skip and Attack to force opponents to draw more.
- Track how many Exploding Kittens remain in the deck.
Ideal strategy
- 1
Defuse economy: early Defuse use is acceptable only with two in hand. Late game with one Defuse and thin deck is death.
- 2
Nope priority: counter See the Future first, then Favor, then Shuffle. Let minor cards resolve to conserve Nopes.
- 3
Skip-Attack chains: Attack forces next player to draw twice; combine with Skip to push draws onto the leader.
- 4
Deck counting: with 5 players and 4 kittens left, each draw is ~20% death. Adjust aggression to remaining kittens vs cards.
- 5
Streaking and Hairy Potato Cat: use low-value cards to bait Nopes before your real combo.
- 6
Endgame positioning: when deck is under 10 cards, hoard Skip and Defuse; force rivals to draw with Attack.
