Expert Mage Knight plans the full day before moving. Fame is the win condition—route to level 5 and the high-value artifact. Combat only when it yields 3+ fame or blocks a critical tile.

Quick winning principles

  • Plan your entire day before the first move—undo is not an option in competition.
  • Route to the nearest artifact that matches your deck's attack type.
  • Use night for village influence and spell preparation, not exploration.
  • Reject cards that do not match your planned route—deck bloat kills tempo.

Ideal strategy

    Day/night planning: day for movement and combat; night for leveling and village upgrades.

    Deck management: keep 8-card deck with 4 movement and 4 attack by scenario 2.

  3. 3

    Fame routing: orcs give 2 fame; fortresses give 4—fortress only with attack 4+ hand.

  4. 4

    Combat timing: fight when wounded enemies reduce your damage taken.

  5. 5

    Advanced action cards:0 take the movement or attack card matching your planned route in round 1.

  6. 6

    Endgame: level 5 plus two artifacts plus one city conquered beats level 6 without artifacts.
